Tattoo art has entered brick-wall museums without any doubt and my images as well.
Several of my images of Horiyoshi III and Horikazu clients is exhibited at new exhibition in Los Angeles.
It is already the fourth museum, which created amazingly large exhibition of world tattoo art, originally set up by Museum de Branly in 2014.
After the most successful exhibition in history of the famous Museum de Branly 5/2014 – 7/2015, the Royal Ontario Museum, 4 – 9/2016 continued to run similar exhibition in Toronto. Third museum which also decided to show our images was another famous The Field Museum, 10/2016 – 4/2017 in Chicago.
Wait! This is not end of the story and our journey has not finished yet! Let me invite you to another museum, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
Exhibition will be open through April 15, 2018.
The exhibition is quite big and you can find there images of tattooed people from around the world, taken by many different photographers. I am representing Japan.
Do not miss the chance!
The most of exhibited images are in the books “Tattoo in Japan” or “Horikazu”.
Exhibited images (or any other image from www.tattooinjapan.com) printed on archival quality paper can be ordered here.
